2007 - several Lithuanian R&D institutions and enterprises signed a co-operation agreement to establish the National Technology Platform of Space Technologies.
2008 - the Government of Lithuania assigned the Ministry of Education and Science to start negotiations on co-operation with the European Space Agency.
2009 - the National Space Association of Lithuania (NSA), comprising 22 members, was founded.
Members of the NSA take active part in the integrated high-tech centre programmes, NIPs, JRPs, and European FP7 projects.
The R&D institutions that are members of NSA do research in all areas of JRP, while enterprises do business mostly in the fields of engineering and ICT.
